I create original embroideries of sayings/poems on vintage linens and accented with borders or other images. Many of the embroideries are appliquéd onto designer fabrics. The embroideries are sold framed, unframed or raw cut (without mounting or framing). Much of my work is custom orders including original designs for showers, weddings, anniversaries, friendships and other special occasions. I graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Education with electives in fine arts. I also completed 25 hours of graphic design courses at Illinois Central College.

My background includes teaching graphic design at Illinois Central College, one woman art shows as well as magazine editor and supervisor of a marketing group. I retired from a heavy equipment manufacturer and enjoy my long awaited art venture. My business, Irish Lane Designs, perfectly melds all my interests - from computers to sewing, design and typography and a lifelong love of sayings, poetry and quotations. I love the flea markets and craft shows, meeting face-to-face with customers and fulfilling their requests for unique designs.
