Artistry in Wood

Bruce looks to nature for inspiration through wood. The beauty that nature gives to trees from the spring buds and blossoms to the snow laden bareness of winter is a wonder to behold.

Whether it is a tree that has been damaged by a storm and brought down or a tree that people no longer feel worthy of being on their property, it still holds secret beauty that Bruce looks for and brings forth for others to enjoy. It may end up being a useful item such as a bowl, a pen, a kaleidoscope, a turned box, or an item meant more to be appreciated simply for it’s uniqueness and the natural beauty of the wood. In either case it is Bruce’s desire to end up with an item you will enjoy picking up and handling for the sheer joy of doing so.  

Bruce is a central Illinois Artist living in Marquette Heights. He is proud to be a member of The Bohemian Art Society, the International Association of Penturners, and a supporter of The Freedom Pen Program.
