As a native Peorian, I got my start as a folk artist producing for by own home party plan business. I owned a craft store, retailed, wholesaled, published four how-to-paint books and currently work as a special event coordinator and merchandise specialist for Luthy Botanical Garden.Although I love the "whimsical" style, my in home and business wall murals cover anything from Victorian to Country to Art Deco. My one-of-a-kind furniture is often created from recycled pieces that I cut and carve my own wood to enhance. Every piece had its own history and story.I've been painting since 1984 and an a member of Luthy Botanical Garden, Illinois Art League, Bohemian Art Society, River City Blues Society as well as the National Guild of Hypnotists. All these groups help inspire and encourage me to create artwork for all to enjoy. My work can be viewed at Monroe Art Gallery, Luthy Botanical Garden, and Locust Street Emporium in Delevan. |
